At Dr. Fallon Patel and Associates, our goal is to promote good eye health and enable you to have the clearest vision possible. We accept several types of vision insurance, cash and most credit cards. We inform our Oakville patients about exam and treatment costs at the beginning of your appointment. Examination Fees
COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAMINATION WITH RETINAL IMAGING (AGES 20-64) – $130
Comprehensive Full Eye Exam including prescription, overall ocular health check, pupil dilation and retinal imaging. Retinal imaging helps doctors to better track the overall health of your eyes.
BASIC EYE EXAMINATION WITHOUT RETINAL IMAGING (AGES 20-64) – $100
Full Eye Exam including prescription and overall ocular health check with pupil dilation.
CHILDREN EYE EXAMS (AGES 0.5-19YRS) – OHIP COVERS ANNUALLY
OHIP covered full eye exams including prescription, overall ocular health check, and pupil dilation.
SENIOR EYE EXAMS (AGES 65YRS+) – OHIP COVERS ANNUALLY
OHIP covered full eye exams including prescription, overall ocular health check, and pupil dilation.
EYE EXAM WITH CONTACT LENS RE-FITTING FOR EXISTING CONTACT LENS WEARER (AGES 20-64) – $155
Comprehensive Eye Exam including prescription, ocular health check, pupil dilation, retinal photos and contact lens re-fitting and contact lens trials.
EYE EXAM WITH NEW FITTING CONTACT LENS (AGES 20-64) – $205
Comprehensive Full Eye Exam including prescription, ocular health check, pupil dilation, retinal photos and coaching and evaluation for new contact lens initial fit with contact lens trials.
NEW FITTING CONTACT LENSES ONLY – $75-100
For new fitting of soft disposable contact lenses with existing prescription or for Children <19 yrs and/or seniors >65 yrs. This includes contact lenses trials.
Specialty Services
SCLERAL LENS CONSULTATION FEE – $250
Consultation fitting fee for scleral lens fit. Includes comprehensive corneal health examination, measurement of corneal mapping using Medmont topographer, dry eye evaluation, and lens selection process. Specializing in scleral lenses for those with Keratoconus, Post-Corneal Transplant, Irregular Astigmatism, Giant Papillary Conjunctivitis and Post-Refractive Surgery (i.e. LASIK, PRK).
MYOPIA CONTROL CONSULTATION FEE – $150-250
Myopia Control Assessment includes a comprehensive Binocular Vision Assessment with Full Ocular Health Examination including Cyclopentolate dilation eye drops. Treatment options are then recommended depending on examination findings which include: Atropine Eye Drops, Bifocal Eye Glasses, Peripheral De-focus Daily Soft Contact Lenses and Orthokeratology.
NEURO-OPTOMETRIC POST-CONCUSSION EXAMINATION – $375
Neuro-Optometric Post-Concussion Examination is apart of our Vision Therapy services. This includes a full Neuro-Optometric Binocular Vision Assessment, Visual Information Processing Assessment, and Light Sensitivity and Coloured Filter Lens Assessment.
VISUAL TRACKING & READING ASSESSMENT FOR CHILDREN – $475
Visual Tracking & Reading Assessment for Children is apart of our Vision Therapy services. This assessment is for children who are having difficulties with reading and focusing at near. This includes a full Neuro-Optometric Binocular Vision Assessment, Visual Information Processing Assessment, Left-Right Awareness and Reversals Assessment, Visual-Motor Coordination Testing, & Auditory Screening.
Vision Insurance
The knowledgeable staff at Dr. Fallon Patel and Associates is experienced in working with vision insurance providers. We will work directly with you and your vision insurer to submit claims regarding your vision care. We strive to ensure that you understand your insurance coverage and will answer any questions you may have regarding your benefits. Many current vision plans are designed to cover most of the basic vision-related costs, but not all costs associated with eye care. Most plans often require a co-payment for an office appointment as well as additional costs that are covered by the insured patient. Read more about insurance here.
